Where does Studio Blue's boat leave from? Our boat is at Marina Fonatur, which is a short taxi ride from our dive shop. Divers usually meet at the shop and we arrange for a taxi to take you to and from the boat. If you rent a scooter or car, you're welcome to meet us directly at the marina if you prefer.
-
How long are dive trips? We generally leave from the shop at 8 or 8:30 a.m. and return before 2 p.m. but it can vary based on where we are diving that day. We try to accommodate diver schedules as much as we can.

What dive sites do you visit?Studio Blue is authorized to dive in Cozumel's National Marine Park, and we can visit any site on the island. We choose sites based on diver experience and sea conditions. If you dive with us for more than one day, we will usually visit different sites for each dive and you are more than welcome to put in requests for your favorites!

What marine life will I see diving in Cozumel?Cozumel's reefs are among the most beautiful in the world. The dive sites here have amazing corals and many sites have opportunities for swim-throughs. It's not uncommon to see turtles, sharks, octopus, lobsters, sting rays, eagle rays, moray eels, and crabs. Plus there is a huge variety of fish. Some animals are more common at certain times of year, or during night dives.
-
How long are dives? We want to enjoy the underwater world as long as we can, so our dives last as long as we have air! Our groups surface together when we get low on air, and that can vary based on the depth of the site or the strength of the current. Our dives typically last 45 minutes to an hour.
-
Can I dive with nitrox?Yes, we can reserve nitrox tanks for divers with the appropriate certification.
-
What is Studio Blue's boat like? Our boats are 31-foot diesel boats with inboard engines, sundeck, shade, and fresh water. The maximum number of divers onboard is 8 per boat, but many trips have 6 or less.
-
How can I make a reservation? If you're interested in diving, please contact us by email or reach out via WhatsApp or phone and we will schedule your diving. If you need to rent gear, we'll let you know when to visit the shop to try on wetsuits and BCDs to get your fitted for the right size (if you aren't sure).
-
How often do you do night dives? We typically do night dives upon request and usually require a minimum of 4 divers. We can also do a twilight 2-tank dive trip, which would include a late afternoon dive and a night dive.
-
What happens there's bad weather?Sometimes the marina will close when the sea conditions are bad. If that is the case, we will reschedule you dives or offer a full refund if you have prepaid. We keep track of the forecast and will let you know if it looks like the marina may close or we won't be able to dive.
-
Can I try diving without any experience?Yes, we offer the introductory Discover Scuba class for those new to scuba diving. It includes some basic skills training and a shallow dive with an instructor to see what scuba diving is all about!

What should I do if I haven't gone diving in a long time or feel nervous? If it's been a long time since you've been diving we offer a refresher course to revisit skills and help be safe and feel confident during your dives.
